I was a little suspicious because the'About us' description for Dixie's lower canyon tours says: 'Dixie's mother's passion for the Navajo culture was passed on to her, and her tour company is a reflection of that same passion. One blog I read said they were, but I couldn't find any confirmation of this. It wasn't clear to me whether all the tours are Native-owned or not. One non-negotiable for us is working with a Native-owned tour company.
The 'adventure' of scrambling through the lower canyon sounds fun, though I have read that upper is more breathtaking - at the same time, a flat walk sounds kind of boring. How crowded is either part of Antelope Canyon in the winter? I'm stumped about what tour to go with - upper, lower, or neither (my sister recently went to Antelope Canyon X and said it was great I also saw a tour available to Secret Antelope Canyon?). I am planning a trip to the area in mid-February and would like to tour Antelope Canyon on our way between Zion and the Grand Canyon.
